Submission deadline: October 9, 2026, 11:59 p.m. CDT
The 2027 CSCA convention theme is “Navigate: Finding Inspiration in Uncharted Terrain.” Multiple interest groups are accepting submissions, including areas closely aligned with communication research, pedagogy, political communication, strategic communication, intercultural communication, social justice, and public-facing scholarship.
Relevant interest groups include
- Intercultural Communication — competitive papers, panels, roundtables, workshops, and innovative programming
- Political Communication — competitive papers, extended abstracts, and thematic panels
- Strategic and Applied Communication — public relations, organizational, crisis, political, health, environmental, and risk communication
- Basic Course — foundational communication pedagogy, administration, and research
- Activism, Communication Ethics, and Social Justice — papers, panels, and performance sessions
Faculty, students, independent scholars, professionals, and community members are welcome across many of the calls. Membership is not required to create a submission profile.
