ICA 2027 Call for Papers: Centering the Human

International Communication Association 2027 Annual Conference
The 77th Annual International Communication Association (ICA) Conference will be held June 3–7, 2027 in Glasgow, Scotland.
The 2027 conference theme is “Centering the Human: Communication in an Age of Uncertainty.” The theme invites scholarship on communication amid artificial intelligence, democratic backsliding, geopolitical instability, climate crisis, and other forms of uncertainty.

November 2, 2026 at 12:00 noon Eastern Time
The submission system opened September 1, 2026.
Submission formats
Depending on the ICA division or interest group, submissions may include:
- full papers
- extended abstracts
- panel or roundtable proposals
